1 | bag | (32 oz.) southern style hash browns | |

3/4 | cup | finely chopped red onion | |

|||
2 | cans | (10.75 oz. each) cream of potato soup, undiluted | |
|
|||
1 | container | (16 oz.) sour cream | |
|
|||
1 | pkg. | (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese | |
|
|||
1/2 | stick | butter, sliced | |

|
Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish. Mix together hash browns, onion, soup, sour cream and cheddar cheese. Spread into baking dish and pat down. Place butter slices on top and sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Cover with foil. Bake for 60-90 minutes, removing foil for last 15 minutes of cooking time to brown top.
