National Grand Marnier Day - July 14
Yield: 3 cups
3/4 | cup | fresh strawberries | |

3/4 | cup | fresh blackberries | |
|
|||
3/4 | cup | fresh raspberries | |
|
|||
3/4 | cup | fresh blueberries | |
|
|||
4 | Tablespoons | pomegranate juice | |
|
|||
1 | Tablespoon | granulated sugar | |
|
|||
2 | teaspoons | fresh lime juice | |
|
|||
2 | Tablespoons | Grand Marnier, optional | |
|
Place all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
Stirring occasionally, continue cooking until slightly thickened.
Berries may be left whole or mashed with the back of the spoon. May be served warm or room temperature.
Note:
This fresh fruit compote goes great over waffles, French toast, pancakes, ice cream, yogurt, cheesecake, pound cake and more!
